On a typical Chicago city lot, working with the owner, CG|LS removed the postage sized lawn in the front of the home and installed a shade garden that consists of boxwood, climbing hydrangea, sedges, perennials and bulbs.

In the backyard an Amelanchier canadensis and a Koelreuteria paniculata were planted.
