44th Ward Alderman Tunney requested CG|LS to assist the newly formed advisory council in envisioning the proposed $3.65 million dollar new park in the underserved West Lakeview area. Working with the community, CG|LS designed a themed park using many iconic Chicago elements that will be engaging for toddlers as well as teens. The park will include customized playground roofs that represent famous Chicago skyscrapers, a water feature with a 40-foot custom mosaic wall, shaded picnic tables and a large open turf area for general play,
CG|LS brought on Trust for Public Land to manage the construction of the park and continued to work with Weiss Architects to develop the final park plans, construction documents and construction oversight.
