Chicago Ground Cover is a 5000 square-foot dance floor created out of 3’ recycled plastic boards by the internationally recognized Chicago artist Dan Peterman and used by Summerdance, the largest annual outdoor dance series in the United States. The much-loved series provides dance lessons from professional instructors in all types of dance.

The project was more complicated than one might imagine, requiring coordination with the owners of the property, the Chicago Park District, and the Chicago Department of Transportation, balanced with the needs of the artists. And it needed to be completed within a month. The work was completed on time and under budget.
