For many years, Chris has volunteered as a Trustee or as a member of the church’s landscape committee to design, plant and maintain the gardens at Broadway United Methodist Church.

The gardens have changed over the years, however the design goals of reflecting the building’s contemporary design and creating a garden that requires minimal maintenance from the volunteers have been maintained.

In the spring of 2014, all the plants were removed and a new garden of native grasses, varieties of Allium, Stachys officinalis ‘Hummelo” and Limonium latifolium were planted. Once this garden becomes established it will be a low maintenance garden with lots of seasonal interest.
